Hillsborough Community College Brandon campus on October 23rd
Tampa Bay’s Computer Mentors Group (CMG) announced the launch of its 5th Annual Technology Bowl event. This year’s event will feature a host of celebrity moderators and will be hosted at Hillsborough Community College Brandon campus on October 23rd.
The Technology Bowl is a “Family Feud” style panel competition where teams of teenage youth compete for great technology prizes using their knowledge of computers and technology. Through a donation by Hobbs Family Foundation, the teams, to be sponsored by local corporations, will be competing for $10,000 in technology prizes. Each team is sponsored by a local organization or corporation. This year’s sponsors include the Nielsen Company, and Suncoast For Kids foundation (Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union) and other sponsors are being sought.
The event will be highlighted by a host of celebrity moderators. They will include:
Lissette Campos – Community Affairs Director for WFTS TV ABC Action News; Michelle Robinson – President Verizon Southeast Region; Bob McCann – VP Client Solutions Nielsen Company; Jettie B. Wilds – WTMP Radio personality; Jane Castor – Tampa Police Chief; and some additional surprise moderators that will entertain the crowd of attendees.
